Dolly Parton has told 6 Music she is working on both a musical and film version of her life story:
“I’ve been trying to figure a way to tell my life story forever, I’m wriitng it as a musical for stage with all new and original music.
“I’m also gonna do a life story as a movie that is one of those music driven things,” Dolly told 6 Music.
Before all that, she has a US and UK tour in support of her 43rd studio record, Better Day this summer.
Tickets are on sale now for the dates which start in August in Glasgow and finish in Belfast in September.
